BHP Jr. Artist-in-Training Performing Arts Camp Grades 8 to12

What's happening?

BHP Jr. Artist-in-Training Performing Arts Camp is for experienced young artists (going into 8th-12th grades) who are ready to challenge themselves and are serious about their craft.

Inspired by the Black Hills Playhouse’s production of The Game’s Afoot or Holmes for the Holidays, artists-in-training will spend an intensive week of theatre transforming into eccentric characters to figure out Whodunit!

With in-depth character study, exploration of a spirited yet haunting score and Broadway-style choreography this camp will help the students explore the full potential of their own unique resources.

In addition to rehearsals featuring individual and ensemble opportunities, the week will include:
Escape rooms and a mystery movie night
Special effects makeup session
Campfires and outdoor activities
A day at the Black Hills Playhouse interacting with professional actors and technicians before attending a performance of The Game's Afoot (rated PG).

The week will end with a private eye musical comedy performance for friends and family worth investigating. Nowhere will you find this level of creative intensity combined with so much fun!
