Speaker Series - Historic Preservation

What's happening?

The March, 2018 Speaker Series will focus on Historic Preservation and Landmarking. Our presenters will discuss the importance of preservation for a community, how preservation is funded and what it takes to accomplish the renovation of a historically significant structure. Representatives from the State Historical Society's Preservation Department, Gorman & Co. (Company responsible for Garton Toy Apartments and the new Washington School Apartments) and a local architect emphasizing historic preservation will be presenting throughout the month.
