Each ticket will include access to the Myron Mixon BBQ Cooking school at Buckhead Ranch. We will kick off the weekend with a meet and greet dinner with the 4-time National BBQ Champion Myron Mixon at 6pm on Friday. For the premium ticket holders, you will be able to stay up late, listening to BBQ tales, and enjoying beverages by the bonfire with Myron. Late night skeet shooting will also be available for the premium ticket holders as well. Each premium ticket holder will have their own lodging on-site at Buckhead Ranch for both nights.
Saturday morning will begin with a light breakfast for all attendees and the whole hog will begin at 9am. We will then move onto beef ribs, pork ribs, chicken, beef brisket, pork shoulder and pork loin. Myron Mixon will show everyone his legendary tricks and secrets to preparing competition style meats. Lunch will be served for a quick break, as well as a low country boil dinner prepared and served Saturday night for all attendees. For premium ticket holders, Saturday night may be spent chatting and conversing with the Winningest Man in BBQ and tapping him for his extensive knowledge of food and BBQ.
Sunday morning will begin with a light breakfast, and everyone will finish cooking all the meats. The grand feast will take place and everyone will be able to enjoy the various cuts of meat and provisions prepared over the entire weekend. At the end of the class, all meat will be available to take home for your family and friends to enjoy.
You will also bring home extensive BBQ knowledge learned from the Lord of Q.
Basic Ticket- $795 - Basic ticket purchasers will need to find their own lodging off-site. There are several hotel options close by.
Premium Ticket- $1250 - Premium ticket purchasers can arrive early Friday afternoon to Buckhead Ranch. Relax and enjoy a beverage or take advantage of fishing, horseshoes, and game room. Premium buyers will be able to enjoy full on-site accommodations under the same roof as Myron Mixon. Access to the skeet shooting range will be available to premium attendees as well as an extensive experience with the 20 hour whole hog cooking process.
ABOUT MYRON MIXON
As a 4-time world barbecue champion, Myron Mixon is the winningest man in barbecue. The chief cook of the Jack’s Old South Competition Bar-B-Que Team.
Myron competed in his first competition in Augusta, Georgia, in 1996, where he took first place in whole hog, first place in pork ribs, and third in pork shoulder. Since then, he’s won more barbecue competitions than anyone else in the world.
He’s won over 200 grand championships resulting in over 1,800 total trophies, 30 state championships, 8 Team of the Year awards, and 11 national championships. Myron’s team has taken three first place whole hogs at the Jack Daniels World Championship Invitational Barbeque Competition.
He has been the Grand Champion at the World Championship in Memphis 4 times: 2001, 2004, 2007 and 2016; and, has also taken first place in the Whole Hog category at the World Championship in: 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2007. And, his team is the only team to win Grand Championships in Memphis in May, Kansas City BBQ Society, and Florida BBQ Association in the same year. In 2013, he was inducted into the Barbecue Hall Fame in Kansas City.
