Strategic Collegiate DMV STEM Scholars trip to Harvard and MIT 2018

What's happening?

Dear Colleagues,

Strategic Collegiate, is hosting an all expense paid trip from the DMV to Boston for the Harvard Medical School New England Science Symposium (NESS)/Biomedical Sciences Careers Program (BSCP) Diversity Conference April 6- 8, 2018.

We are also partnering with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) chapter to host a Yes-We-Code Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering Workshop while in Boston.

To diversify the experience we will have a private tour of the W.E.B. Dubois Cultural Arts Research Center at Harvard College.

We are soliciting corporate and philanthropic underwriting and grant sponsorship for 11th and 12th grade high school students who demonstrate promising futures in Biomedical Health Science STEM majors.

We are seeking The Talented 10 from:

1.) PGCPS, 5 male/5 female
2.) DCPS, 5 male/5 female
3.) Bmore City PS, 5 male/5 female

To make our trip a success we need funding in the amount of $50,000 to provide all inclusive accommodations for 30 Student STEM Scholars & 20 Academic Mentor Advisors. Cost is $1,000 per person.

Budget Breakdown:

- Round trip flight = $400
- Hotel Accommodation = $300
- Ground transportation = $100
- Food = $75
- Stipend = $100
- Sponsor Logo Polo & Teeshirt = $25

TOTAL = $1,000

Please take advantage of this 2017 IRS nonprofit tax deductible donation.

Thanks for your consideration and generous contribution to help students fulfilled their dreams,

All the best,
